Bronze statue dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr.

Photo Courtesy Glen Frieson Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr., right, dedicates a bronze statue honoring civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The 8-foot tall statue standing on a granite pedestal was unveiled on the 50th anniversary of King receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. With the county executive are Essex County Deputy Chief of Staff William Payne, left, and Edith Savage-Jennings, a civil rights icon and confidant of the King family.
