Jersey City man killed in crash

NEWARK, NJ — Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose announced April 4 that Jason Mullins, 36, of Jersey City, was killed in a motor vehicle collision on April 3 on Raymond Boulevard and Chapel Street in Newark.

Mullins, who was driving a Chevy Trax, was traveling westbound on Raymond Boulevard when he collided with a tractor trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:10 p.m. The driver of the tractor trailer remained at the scene.

The incident is being investigated by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
