Santa Claus arrives once again by helicopter

NUTLEY, NJ — The helicopter bearing Santa and Mrs. Claus came out of a clear blue sky on Friday, Nov. 23, and made a pinpoint landing on the Nutley Oval. It was chilly and breezy but the visitors from the North Pole were use to cold weather. Crowds filled the bleachers. Kids were running back and forth. Excitement was in the air.

Everyone wanted selfies with Santa. Mickey Mouse was there. So were singers, dancers and dozens of elves in red outfits with white-fur trim.

And, thanks once again to the generosity of the Nutley Chamber of Commerce, the Christmas season had appeared.
