Seton Hall Prep wrestling team goes to 2-0 on season

WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Seton Hall Prep wrestling team is currently 2-0 on the season as they opened the Super Essex Conference – American Division with two match last week. They opened up at Nutley and won 61-9 on Monday and hosted West Orange on Wednesday at Frank J. Tracey Gymnasium and won 58-15.

Over the weekend they competed in one of the top tournaments in the country, The Beast of the East traveling to the University of Delaware – Bob Carpenter Center. The wrestlers in this tournament are the best in the country.

The following wrestlers won matches: freshman Joseph Sciarrone 106 lb., sophomore Gabriel Jimenez 113 lb., junior Larry Melchionda 120 lb. sophomore Conner Decker 126 lb., sophomore Cole Carroll 138 lb., junior Aidan Cunningham 145 lb., junior Andrew Mitzak 195 lb., and senior Niko Diakides 285 lb. sophomore Jack Wilt won two matches during the tournament.
