WOHS hosts 11th annual color guard invitational this weekend

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The award-winning West Orange High School winter color guard will host its 11th annual Mid-Atlantic Indoor Competition in the Tarnoff Gymnasium at West Orange High School on Sunday, Jan. 31, beginning at noon. The competition will feature 29 performances from color guards across the state.

Color Guard routines consist of high-energy coordinated team performances that incorporate artistic elements like banners, flags, rifles, sabers and air blades with athletic dance.

Both the West Orange senior and junior color guards will perform in exhibition. The competition will conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m. after votes are tallied and winners for the various categories are announced.

The Tarnoff Gym is located on the West Orange High School campus at 51 Conforti Ave. near the soccer field. Tickets are charged and ample parking is available.
