EAST ORANGE, NJ – For the fourth consecutive season, the East Orange Campus High School boys track and field team captured the boys team title at the Super Essex Conference-American Division Championship meet held at Schools Stadium in Newark on May 11.
The Jaguars, under head coach Lance Wigfall, had 139 points in the team standings among the seven teams. West Orange was a distant second at 92.83 points.
The following are EOCHS boys’ highlights:
Dominic Dazzell won both the 100-meter dash in 10.98 and the 200-meter dash in 21.95.
Malcolm Barnes won both the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.34 and the high jump at 6 feet. Sebasteon Allen won the triple jump at 43 feet-10 inches, while Barnes was second at 41-9 and Rahim Samuels was fourth at 41-4..
The 4×400-meter relay team finished in first place in 3:25.59.
In the 110 high hurdles, Kwamivi Amedeya took third place in 15.48; and Matthew Parchment took sixth place in 16.86.
Al-Shadee Salaam took second place in the 200-meter dash in 22.25 and third place in the 100-meter dash in 11.14. Kahsim Daniels placed fourth in the 100-meter dash in 11.30.
In the 400-meter dash, Kishaun Richardson placed second in 50.39 and Keenan Bartley took fourth place in 51.20.
In the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, Amedeya finished in second place in 57.27 and Parchment took sixth place in 1:00.13.
Christopher Stultz took eighth place in the discus at 121-1 and Locksley Burke finished in sixth place in the shot put at 43-4 ¼.
On the girls’ side, EOCHS finished fourth in the girls team standings with 41 points among the six teams. West Orange was first with 163 points.
The following are EOCHS girls’ highlights:
Azariah Christopher took second place in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.20 and took fifth place in the high jump at 5-2. Bianca Koudou took fourth place in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.73. In the 400-meter hurdles, Janaya Ross took fourth place in 1:09.03 and Asia Odom took fifth place in 1:09.04. The 4×400 relay team took third place in 4:07.38.
Autumn Bracey placed second in the triple jump at 34-2 and fifth place in the long jump at 14-11 ½; Jakayla Hewitt took fifth place in the triple jump at 32-10. Kaneshia Freeman placed fourth in the javelin at 79-3.
