Glen Ridge HS football team routs Montclair Kimberley for first win of season

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – First-year head coach Steve Trivino won his first game as head coach of the Glen Ridge High School football team.

The Ridgers defeated Montclair Kimberley Academy, 35-13, at Hurrell Field Saturday, Sept. 8, to improve to a 1-1 record.

Jackson Crutchfield ran for 66 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Tyler Strong passed for 73 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 59 yards on five carries.

Brendan Easter – 13 tackles, 6 solo, 6.5 TFLs (47 yds), 3.5 sacks (34 yds), 1 FR for TD (51 yds)

Jackson Crutchfield – 8 tackles, 4 solo, 2 TFLs (4 yds)
Liam Hood- 7 tackles, 3 solo, 3.5 TFLs (10 yds)
Kyle Kobylinski – 6 tackles, 2 solo, 1 TFL (2 yds), 2 FF, 1 FR (2 yds)
Ben Bronstein – 1 tackle, 1 INT

Next game: Glen Ridge will visit Weequahic Friday, Sept. 14, at Untermann Field at 7 p.m.
