NUTLEY, NJ – The Nutley High School varsity football team lost to Bloomfield, 33-20, in the season opener Thursday, August 30, at Foley Field in Bloomfield.

Junior Dan Jennings scored on 27-yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Justin Lucia, senior Matthew Chimento ran for 2-yard touchdown and sophomore Giovanni Coppola scored on a 56-yard run for the Raiders, who hope to bounce back in their next game on Sept. 8 at Montclair.

West Orange defeated Montclair, 26-19, in the season opener in West Orange on August 30.
