Columbia HS girls’ fencing team advances to state tournament final

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – For the fifth straight season, the Columbia High School girls’ fencing team advanced to the NJSIAA state team tournament championship meet, which will be held Feb. 21 at Morris Hills HS in Rockaway.

The 11th-seeded Cougars will face top-seeded Bergen Tech in a rematch of last year’s state final won by Bergen Tech.

Columbia defeated second-seeded Ridge, 15-12, in the semifinals Feb. 15.
