Bloomfield HS girls’ basketball team’s rally comes up short

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity basketball team had its two-game winning streak snaped after losing to Wayne Valley, 47-40, at home on Saturday, Jan. 20, to move to a 4-7 record.

Sophomore Samantha Columna had 11 points; junior Camrynn Referente and junior Sarah Edmond each had eight points and senior Raquel Plata had six points.

The Bengals trailed 25-10 at the half and rallied in the second half, but the comeback fell short.
