MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Author Holly McGhee visited Tuscan School on Monday, June 4, and spoke to students in kindergarten through fifth-grade about her book, “Come With Me,” as well as the writing process and her forthcoming book, “Listen,” which will be illustrated by Pascal Lemaitre. McGhee read “Come With Me,” also illustrated by Lemaitre, to students and gave them a sneak peek at the illustrations and text of the soon-to-be published “Listen.”
Kindness, bravery and friendship in an uncertain world are highlighted in “Come With Me.” McGhee urges readers to do their part to make the world a better place.
Students benefited greatly by meeting McGhee and having the opportunity to ask her questions about the writing and publishing process. Her visit was made possible by the support of the Tuscan PTA and will certainly be a fond memory for students at Tuscan School.
