MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Progressive Theater will hold the Black & Blue Fundraising Gala on Friday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m. at The Woodland, 60 Woodland Road in Maplewood. The night will include raffles, live music, dancing, performances, a silent auction and more.
Progressive Theater works to tell culturally enriched stories that empower the misrepresented, people of color and women, while captivating audiences with the focus being the change we want to see in the arts.
“I must say starting a company is, by far, one of the scariest, yet fulfilling, things I’ve ever done,” founder Gregory Omar Osborne said. “As an actor, I’ve learned that I have so much more to offer than a song, dance break and scene. I have the ability to create opportunities, spark change and bring progress. But it can’t happen without your support.”
RSVP no later than Oct. 1 to Osborne at 862-283-1235 or online at progressivetheater.com/gala.
