MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Spend this fourth week of Advent at Prospect Church, 646 Prospect St. in Maplewood. There will be a “Blue Christmas” service at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, designed for those who have great stress or difficulty with the traditional celebratory Christmas services. Prospect’s Children’s Ensemble will perform a musical during the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Dec. 23. On Monday, Dec. 24, there will be a traditional Christmas Eve service of readings and carols at 7:30 p.m.. Rounding out the season is an Epiphany potluck dinner and jazz vespers on Sunday, Jan. 6, at 6 p.m.
