Burns Night returns to the Maplewood Club

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Enjoy an evening of Scottish dancing, music and food at the second Maplewood Burns Night on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Maplewood Club, 489 Ridgewood Road, Maplewood. Dress is black tie — and plaid of any kind is encouraged. This event is open to all and proceeds will benefit the Achieve Foundation of Maplewood and South Orange. To celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns, who is widely regarded as Scotland’s national poet, Scots around the world hold a Burns supper at which they eat haggis, drink whisky and read poems by Burns, especially his “Address to a Haggis.” Be Scottish for an evening!
