WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Arts Council, West Orange Public Library and West Orange Hispanic Foundation have a slew of events planned to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
From Sept. 15 through Oct. 14, The West Orange Arts Council will be presenting a Latin Arts Exhibition at the West Orange Arts Center, 551 Valley Road, and at the library, 46 Mt. Pleasant Ave. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. at the arts center.
For the first time in the history of West Orange, the flags of all the Hispanic countries will be raised in celebration Hispanic Heritage Month in front of Town Hall, 66 Main St. The library will hold a flamenco show immediately after the ceremony.
On Sunday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., don’t miss a Latin Taste of West Orange, a food fair presented by Ancla with the participation of other West Orange restaurants. The event will feature food, music, cultural exhibitions, recognition of local and state leaders, games for children and much more; it will be held at 290 Watchung Ave. in West Orange.
