MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The “Contemporary Artists Forum XIV” exhibition currently running at 1978 Arts Center in Maplewood will close on Monday, Oct. 10.
Many of the artists in this exhibit have made a lifetime commitment to their art. They pursue their work with passion and intelligence. Although very different in terms of style, school and approach, their shared goals include attention to craft — a thoughtful contemplation of subject and connection to the audience. Media include painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media and printmaking.
Participating artists include Sandra Anton, Erin Beckerich, Mary Jean Canziani, Russell Christian, Larry Dell, Michael Friedman, Denise Hardie, Cindy Rubino, Patricia Toltl and Cynthia Weiss.
Gallery hours during exhibitions are Saturday and Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m., or by appointment. The 1978 Arts Center is located at 1978 Springfield Ave. in Maplewood. For more information, send an email to 1978artcenter@gmail.com.
