WEST ORANGE, NJ — Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis and Emmy Award winner Kim Zimmer star in a special benefit reading of “Expectations,” a new play by Susan Barsky, on Monday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. at Luna Stage, 555 Valley Road in West Orange.
“Expectations” is a heartwarming comedy about motherhood, widowhood and neighborhood. The reading is directed by Luna Stage founder and former Artistic Director Jane Mandel and also features Cynthia Fernandez, who returns to Luna after her critically acclaimed starring role in the company’s 2014 revival of “Marisol,” by Jose Rivera.
Proceeds from ticket sales go to support Luna Stage, a professional theater dedicated to developing new works for the stage. Tickets are available at www.lunastage.org or 973-395-5551. The theater is handicapped accessible and offers assistive listening devices.
