ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex Photo Club, a teaching club offering workshops and tutorials and representing more than 70 years of photographic tradition, will present its first meeting of the year on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom with a talk by Jennifer Khordi on the topic of “Photographing NYC at Night.” Khordi is an IT professional who began her photographic journey in the 1980s with street images and has developed her skill through travel and portrait photography. Presently she is perfecting moon, Milky Way, NYC skyline and aerial photography.
The second meeting of the month, on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7:30 p.m., will again be held on Zoom and will be a club member competition of nature and pictorial projected images with Phil Witt judging, critiquing and rating images of both beginning and advanced photographers. Witt is a bird and nature photographer and an instructor at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary.
