MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Save the date! Nikki Giovanni, a world-renowned poet, author, social justice activist and teacher, will present “Diversity as Art: Art is Diversity” on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at Columbia High School, 17 Parker Ave. in Maplewood. This event is hosted by the Parenting Center.
Giovanni is the recipient of multiple NAACP Image Awards, the Langston Hughes Award for Distinguished Contributions to Arts and Letters, the Rosa Parks Women of Courage Award and more than 20 honorary degrees from colleges and universities around the country.
