SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Friends of the South Orange Public Library will hold its annual holiday boutique on Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the library, 65 Scotland Road.

On entering the main reading room you will see an array of fascinating crafts from jewelry to accessories to plants, artfully nestled among the bookshelves and colorful holiday decorations. Friends anticipates more than 20 local vendors to participate. There is no charge for a table and Friends provides the table, tablecloths and room decorations. The vendors donate 20 percent of their profit that day to Friends to help fund its many projects

Not only will customers be able to select truly beautiful, unusual gifts — many one of a kind — at reasonable prices, but they will also have the opportunity to meet the gifts’ creators. Customers will have a painless shopping experience, learn about techniques that turn everyday items into works of art and, most important, keep the community’s hard-earned dollars in South Orange.
