WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange Arts Council will host its third anniversary fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 9, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the West Orange Arts Center, 551 Valley Road. The event’s Hollywood theme includes a red carpet entrance, photo booth, door prizes, original artwork, paintings vintage movie posters and Hollywood-themed activities. It is also the opening of the annual West Orange Arts Council Members Exhibition, with works of art on view by local artists.
“Art is everything,” Ken Mandel, this year’s honoree, said. “It helps us learn to appreciate others.”
Mandel won an Emmy Award in 1993 for his documentary “George Marshall and the American Century.” His creation of the West Orange Classic Film Festival commemorates his active membership in the West Orange Arts Council.
Attendees are invited to participate in a silent auction with donations from local businesses, artists and art supporters. Food will be provided. Tickets can be purchased at the West Orange Arts Council website at www.WOARTS.org. For more information about the event visit the website or email [email protected].
