Interfaith concert for peace in SO

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Oheb Shalom Congregation will hold an interfaith concert for peace with music that heals the soul on Sunday, April 2, at 4 p.m. at the South Orange synagogue, 170 Scotland Road.

This event will feature guest conductor and narrator Joshua Jacobson, professor of music at Northeastern University in Boston and founding director of Boston’s Zamir Chorale. In addition, there will be performances by Harmonium, Kol Dodi Chorale, Voices in Harmony, and the church choirs from Morrow Church and St. Andrew & Holy Communion. They will be joined by guest instrumentalists, including Zafer Tawil, Amir Vahab and soloist Peri Smilow, with Cantor Erica Lippitz and guest cantors Perry Fine, Meredith Greenberg and Benjie-Ellen Schiller.
