WEST ORANGE, NJ — Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation will host an opening reception for a new art exhibit titled “Unmasking Brain Injury” on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the hospital’s gallery, located at 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange. The public is invited to attend.
The exhibit features masks created by brain injury survivors, many of whom are current or former Kessler patients. These creative works reflect the artists’ personal journeys of living life with a disability, as well as with dignity and hope.
The event is free-of-charge, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists. Light refreshments will be served.
