The West Orange High School Marching Mountaineers continue to excel.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange High School Marching Mountaineers took second place at the State Championships held at Rutgers University on Oct. 28 with a score of 92.4875.
Hillsborough High School edged out the Mountaineers with a score of 93.600 to win first place in the Group V Open Class Competition. Open Class bands are considered “seasoned ensembles that demonstrate expanded skill sets and are adjudicated on a scale supporting intermediate to advanced skills,” according to US Bands.
The Mountaineers also top took honors for Best Visual Performance.
