MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood Middle School will hold its first Dance-A-Thon fundraiser, hosted by the student council, Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports committee and Home School Association, to raise money for the school store and other schoolwide events. The dance will be Friday, Oct. 28, from 4 to 11 p.m. at the Maplewood Middle School gymnasium. Food trucks will be set up in the parking lot behind the school; a live DJ will be at the event the entire night.
The community is encouraged to come and watch the event. Those who wish to come and watch, purchase snacks, and hang out will pay a minimal fee at the door. Students can register to dance if they raise $25 in sponsors. The Dance-A-Thon will conclude with an awards presentation at 10:30 p.m. Pledges and donations can be submitted through the HSA website with “danceathon” in the comment field.
