Romantic-era piano music

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Janet Armuth Wolkoff will perform selections from Romantic piano literature, including works by Schumann, Brahms and Chopin at a classical piano music appreciation show held by the South Orange-Maplewood Adult School on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Room C237 at Columbia High School.

In between pieces, Wolkoff will talk about the lives and musical contributions of the Romantic-era composers. Audience participation is encouraged. This class is for both beginners and experienced classical music lovers. Wolkoff studied piano with the legendary Seymour Bernstein before attending Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Barnard College, where she played and performed solo and chamber music.
