WEST ORANGE, NJ — The 14th annual West Orange Rotary “Taste of the World” event raised more than $20,000 on Feb. 26.

It was the Rotary’s biggest event to date, with more than 500 members of the community in attendance as food and beverage vendors filled the ballroom at Mayfair Farms. Samplings of entrees, appetizers, wine, beer, spirits and desserts were offered by more than 40 local restaurants, eateries and beverage supply houses.

Raffles, prizes and a silent auction added to the evening and live entertainment was provided for attendees.

All monies raised will go directly to the community. West Orange Rotary provides scholarships for graduating seniors, supports the Rainbow Program, supplies backpacks filled with school supplies to West Orange elementary schools, provides dictionaries to all third-grade West Orange public school students, provides scholarships for children with disabilities to attend Camp Merry Hearts during the summer and more.
