Secret speakeasy at the Shultz House

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Calling all flappers and dapper dans! There’s a secret speakeasy at the Shultz House, 30 North Mountain Ave. in Montclair, on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. DJ Mac spins the oldest lo-fi peppy tunes on his 100-plus-year-old gramophones, playing 78rpm records from his own collection plus records from a secret stash of 78s found in the Shultz House that have not been played for 100 years. Come in period attire — or not — and enjoy the immersive sounds of these crank-up “talking machines.” Good eats and bathtub gin too!
