SHU hosts ‘Poetry in the Round’ event

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The first “Poetry in the Round” event of fall 2017 at Seton Hall University will present critically acclaimed author Kaitlyn Greenidge on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge, University Center. This reading is free and open to the public.

Greenidge’s debut novel is “We Love You, Charlie Freeman,” which was named one of the New York Times Critics’ Top 10 Books of 2016. Her writing has appeared in a number of popular and literary magazines as well as leading newspapers including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Elle.com, Buzzfeed, Transition Magazine, Virginia Quarterly Review, The Believer and American Short Fiction. She is also a contributing editor for LENNY Letter. She was a Bread Loaf scholar, a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace artist-in-residence, and a Johnson State College visiting emerging writer and is the recipient of fellowships from the Whiting Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Originally from Boston, she now lives in Brooklyn.
