WEST ORANGE, NJ — For two weeks this December, Luna Stage will present five extraordinary solo performances from five singular New Jersey artists. There is something for everyone.
Ami Brabson will perform “Phenomenal Woman,” a musical celebration of extraordinary black women, on Friday, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. Helena D. Lewis will perform “Call Me Crazy: Diary of a Mad Social Worker,” which details the intense absurdity of the social work system, on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. David Lee White will perform “Panther Hollow,” a gently humorous coming-of-age story in the wake of mental illness, on Friday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m. June Ballinger will perform “Once In … Never Out!” about the legacy of female codebreakers in World War II on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 8 p.m. Finally, Trent Armand Kendall will present “A Reluctant Holiday Jam Session” on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m.
