MAPLEWOOD, NJ — South Orange resident and author Charles Paikert read excerpts from his new book “Madness: The Ten Most Memorable NCAA Basketball Finals” at Words Bookstore in Maplewood on March 17 — just before Seton Hall University, which is featured in the book, faced Kansas in this year’s tournament.

As the book features the 1989 championship game between Seton Hall University and Michigan, Paikert was joined at Words by Maplewood resident Bruce Hamburger, who was an assistant coach on the 1989 SHU team. Hamburger is now the assistant basketball coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
