Trumpeter Claudio Roditi to kick off ‘Music in the Moonlight’

WEST ORANGE, NJ — On Sunday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m., Claudio Roditi opens the Luna Stage 2016-2017 “Music in the Moonlight” jazz series with “Brazilliance.” Roditi will highlight his original compositions and be accompanied on keyboards by Matt King, a Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition finalist.

The “Music in the Moonlight” jazz series, currently in its sixth season, is curated by New Jersey Jazz Society Board member Sandy Josephson. The 2016-2017 season will feature concerts by vocalist Vanessa Perea on Dec. 11; guitarist Paul Meyers and World on a String on Feb. 26, 2017; and tenor saxophonist and flutist Don Braden on April 30, 2017. The series is sponsored by The Bob Cole Family Fund.
