Set almost entirely in a Chinese restaurant, “Dreaming of a Jewish Christmas” is an irreverent musical documentary about a group of Jewish songwriters — including Irving Berlin, Mel Torme, Jay Livingston, Ray Evans, Gloria Shayne Baker and Johnny Marks — who have written and performed some of the most memorable Christmas songs. The film has been nominated for a 2018 International Emmy award.
Also in November is the ongoing mindfulness class, “Opening the Heart and Mind Meditation,” which is held every other Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. The class, facilitated by Beth Sandweiss, will meet next on Nov. 21, and continues through the year. No prior experience is necessary.
