WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Arts Council’s exhibit “Black Lives Matter: For Justice, For Equality, For Liberty!” is open for viewing throughout June and July.
Curated by Maria Estrela and Carol T. Jenkins, both women of color from Essex County, the exhibit had a reception that was part of the daylong celebrations of Juneteenth in West Orange, conducted by the West Orange Human Relations Commission, which included live music coordinated by Gregory Burrus.
More than 40 artists, photographers and poets are participating in this art-for-social-change virtual online exhibit and in-person gallery show. The West Orange Arts Center Gallery is open on weekends; hours are posted at www.woarts.org.
