MADISON, NJ — Ron Ladell, senior vice president for AvalonBay Communities, was recently among the volunteer leaders recognized by Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Center of Excellence at its inaugural CEO Volunteer Recognition held at Madison Hotel. The CEO Volunteer Recognition event honored 13 volunteer leaders throughout New Jersey among many different industries. The only real estate company and real estate executive recognized was AvalonBay Communities and Ladell.
Ladell’s service to the volunteer community includes serving as a board member to the Center For Great Expectations based in Somerset. The Center For Great Expectations assists adult and young women and their children through homelessness, pregnancy and addiction recovery. Ladell was the catalyst for AvalonBay Communities decision to dedicate 16 apartment homes at Avalon Somerset to the Center For Great Expectations so that their graduates are provided a continuum of care. Currently, 16 woman and 31 young children reside in the Avalon Somerset apartment homes.
AvalonBay focuses on developing premier residential and mixed-use communities and currently has 20 New Jersey communities with approximately 5,768 apartment homes. Communities under construction include Maplewood and Princeton.
