FAIR LAWN, NJ — Tom Kemly, president and CEO of Columbia Bank, has announced that Barbara Komor has been promoted to senior vice president of operations. In her new role, Komor will lead the Card Services, Customer Service Call Center, and Loan Servicing departments. Komor will focus on implementing various operations projects for 2021 and improving the reporting metrics and customer service experience in the Operations Division.
“We are extremely pleased to promote Barbara into her new position,” Kemly said. “She not only brings years of leadership, management and banking experience to the team, but her enthusiasm and commitment to deliver an exceptional level of service is a great asset in serving the bank’s customers.”
Komor has more than 30 years of banking experience, starting her career at Independence Bank in the management training program. After completing the program, and with the merger of Commerce Bank, Komor became a branch manager in the Retail Division. She later moved over to Freedom Bank in 2008 as an assistant vice president, branch manager, and was later promoted to senior vice president. In July 2013, Komor joined Atlantic Stewardship Bank as vice president, manager of operations and electronic services. She was promoted to first vice president, manager of operations and electronic services in 2016, which she held until the bank’s merger with Columbia Bank in 2020.
Komor is a graduate of Rutgers University–New Brunswick, with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and finance.
