NEWARK, NJ — The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating a fatal shooting, according to a Sept. 22 press release from the prosecutor’s office.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, Larry Oliver, 38, of Newark, was shot on the 100 block of Avon Avenue in the city of Newark. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:06 a.m.
