$50K warrant issued for armed robbery suspect

NEWARK, NJ — A $50,000 arrest warrant was issued on Monday, Nov. 7, for Paul Ribau, 20, of Belleville, in connection with armed robbery on Thursday, Nov. 3.

At approximately 1:10 a.m., a 24-year-old male victim was walking in the area of Heller Parkway and Summer Avenue when two suspects approached him. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at him and demanded his personal items. The suspects stole a cellphone and shoulder bag from the victim before fleeing on foot.

As a result of their investigation, detectives have determined that Paul Ribau is a suspect in this armed robbery. Judge Joanne Cocchiola issued the warrant for his arrest on Monday, Nov. 7.

While police are actively searching for Ribau, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from the streets.
