Authorities offer reward to help solve homicide

NEWARK, NJ — Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura’s Crime Stoppers Program is offering a reward of as much as $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder of Eric “Uggie’’ Bowens, 44, of Newark.

Bowens was found in the 200 block of Bergen Street in Newark on Monday, Nov. 7, suffering from a gunshot wound at approximately 10:57 p.m. He was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m.
