NEWARK, NJ — The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the fatal shooting of Marquis Forman, 27, of East Orange, according to a Jan. 16 press release from the ECPO.
On Wednesday, Jan. 15, at approximately 7:42 p.m., Forman was shot on the 700 block of Springfield Avenue in Newark. He was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:19 p.m.
