NEWARK, NJ — Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced Jan. 11 that Hassan Fisher, 24, of Newark, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Troy Branch, 29, of Newark.
Branch was shot and killed on Christmas Eve 2018 on Peshine Street in Newark.
Fisher was apprehended Jan. 10 at a residence in the city of Newark.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
