Orange homicide being investigated

ORANGE, NJ — The Orange Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal shooting of Sharif Norman, 32, of Orange.

On Monday, Nov. 20, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Orange police responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of Park Avenue and North Center Street. When they arrived, they discovered Norman suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:52 p.m.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is active an ongoing.
