Pennsylvania teenager shot to death in Newark

NEWARK, NJ — The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old from Pennsylvania, according to an Oct. 9 press release from the ECPO.

On Thursday, Oct. 8, Lester Ingram, 18, of Kingston, Pa., was fatally shot in the area of Vine Street in Newark at approximately 3:05 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:30 pm.
