Police arrest Newark man for possession of loaded gun

NEWARK, NJ — Rasheed McKinnon, 21, of Newark, was arrested for possession of a loaded .45-caliber handgun on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

At approximately 9 p.m., detectives were in the area of Riverview Court and Chapel Street investigating an unrelated shooting incident. While canvassing a residential building, detectives observed McKinnon in possession of a loaded handgun. He was arrested without incident and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
