Police seek the public’s help in identifying commercial burglary suspect

NEWARK, NJ — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with the burglary of two businesses on Sunday, Nov. 19.

Police responded to the K&C Nabaya African Market and the Milly Deli, both located in the 400 block of Springfield Avenue, after being alerted that the two businesses had been burglarized overnight. The suspect, whose image was captured on the surveillance systems, initially entered the African Market by compromising the roof.  

The bearded suspect, wearing gloves and at times a wool cap, stole some change and cigarettes before exiting the building through the hole in the roof.  

While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and removing him from the streets. This investigation is continuing.
