Teenager shot, killed in Newark

NEWARK, NJ — Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced Feb. 13 that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Task Force and the Newark Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Feb. 12, DeSean L. Brickhouse, 18, of Roselle, was fatally shot in the area of 41 Evergreen Ave. in Newark. He was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m.
