Woman fatally stabbed in Montclair

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti announced Nov. 13 that the Montclair Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the fatal stabbing of Tameeka Johnson, 41, of Montclair.

Montclair police discovered the victim on Nov. 12 in her apartment on Greenwood Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:35 a.m.

The investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made.
