Friday Night Rec program in GR kicks off this week

GLEN RIDGE, NJ — The Friday Night Rec program will return to Glen Ridge this week, providing a fun-filled 90 minutes of gym games for kids supervised by a qualified staff. This program is free.

The students will be divided into two categories:
• Children of grades three and four will have the gym from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
• Students of grades five and six will be at the gym from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

The 2016-2017 Friday Night Recreation schedule:
• Dec. 2, 9 and 16;
• Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27.
• Feb. 3 and 10,

Note that on Jan. 13 the gym will be open only for grades three and four, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., due to a fifth-grade dance. And on Jan. 20, a sixth-grade dance will be held, so again, only third- and fourth-graders will be in the gym, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The program will be held in the upper gym of Ridgewood Avenue School. The drop-off zone is in the parking lot behind the school,

All registrations must be made on line. Go to www.grmac.org/index.php and click on “Youth Recreation Programs” and then click on the “Friday Night Rec” box.
Registrations will be accepted beginning at 9 a.m. on the Monday before each session.

Due to space restraints and in order to provide a safe environment, this program is limited to 40 students per session on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
Unregistered children will not be admitted.
