GLEN RIDGE, NJ — Before the COVID-19 pandemic caused all gatherings to be shut down, Glen Ridge High School’s graduation ceremony was scheduled for June 19. The school district still found ways to celebrate — the day of the planned ceremony became Senior Day instead. Superintendent of Schools Dirk Phillips said in an email to the Glen Ridge Paper on June 28 that a car parade of seniors drove around town. The seniors drove through the parking lot of GRHS and received their yearbooks, academic and athletic awards, and diplomas. An in-person commencement is scheduled for July 23.
