Glen Ridge photo contest seeks shots of boro trees

GLEN RIDGE, NJ — Almost every description of Glen Ridge mentions its lovely trees, which seem to captivate during every season of the year. But, sometimes, in the mass of our trees, the unique beauty of an individual specimen is overlooked. It is for this reason that the Glen Ridge Shade Tree Commission is sponsoring a photo contest.

The contest is open to residents and non-residents alike, but the photos must be of a public or private tree or tree related activities within the borough. All entries will be displayed on the commission’s website. The winning photos will be featured along with all submissions, at the Train Station and on borough publicity materials.

To enter, send an e-mail to [email protected] with your photo attached and tell us:
• your name;
• your address;
• your phone number;
• whether you are under 18 or over 18 years of age; and
• the location where the photo was taken.

Entrants are limited to five images. Images must be at least 2MB in size with high resolution of at least 300 dpi. By entering the contest, entrants grant Glen Ridge Borough royalty-free permission to use the photographs for educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, archival, fundraising and all other purposes.

The deadline for submissions is March 20.
